Kavita Sharma, MD, attended the Armed Forces Medical College Pune in Pune, Maharashtra, India, and received her medical degree in 1994. Then, she served her internship at Alameda County Medical Center in Alameda, California. Furthermore, she conducted her internal medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente in California. In addition, Dr. Sharma completed her fellowship training in geriatric medicine at the University of Hawaii. In addition, she received board certification in internal medicine, geriatric medicine, and palliative medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. And, she remains at the forefront of her challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations.
